This beautiful DIY wedding was almost 100% put together by the bride, groom and their families.  They even laid the beautiful slate aisle just for the ceremony, overlooking the Peaks of Otter.  But that’s kind of what they do.  Tiffany and Carter are partners and best friends in everything.  And the cutest part of their story is that they met at a Subway, over sandwiches.  Tiffany made one heck of a sub, ladies and gentleman! :)    I was so privileged to be a part of their day.  Enjoy!

I was so excited when Yoon contacted me about photographing their wedding.  If there’s one thing in this world that makes my heart beat faster, it’s cultural diversity and new experiences.  Yoon incorporated her Korean heritage seamlessly into the American wedding traditions.  She and Eric had recently traveled to Korea to be married in a traditional ceremony there, and it was lovely to see the memories and mementos they returned with and displayed.  Keep your eyes open at the end for a tradition involving throwing dates to see how many children the lucky couple will have! :)

The moment that we met, he made me smile.
He has so much compassion in his eyes
I have no idea, how long he’ll be here
A season or a lifetime, forever or a year
But for the first time in my life I’m not worried about the future
Because we have such a wonderful time when we’re together

Your hand fits in mine
Like it’s made just for me
But bear this in mind
It was meant to be
And I’m joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks
And it all makes sense to me

I won’t let these little things slip out of my mouth
But if I do
It’s you
Oh, it’s you they add up to
I’m in love with you
And all these little things
