Summer months are hazy and hot and known for unexpected thunderstorms. Summer is usually full of laughter and friends and family. Summer weddings are a wonderful fusion of these various things. As I kept one eye on the sky and one eye on this bride & groom on their June day one thing was abundantly clear: Alicia and Stephen were more likely to dance in the rain than to cry in it. Living the way lovers should.
Venue: The Avoca Museum
Hair: Hair Images by Emily
Makeup: Mary Kay
Flowers: Petal Flower Company
Dresses: David’s Bridal
Video: Lynchburg Live
DJ: Brandon Cyrus from bpsi entertainment
Alicia is incredibly cute. For example:
I love this moment when her parents saw her dressed for the first time together.
Stephen’s letter to her before the ceremony….
Well, and gosh darn it, they are pretty good lookin’
Things that I love: lil boys in bowties. Yup.
Stephen surprised Alicia with a meaningful and beautiful washing of her feet during the ceremony.
What happened right after the above portraits was a monsoon. It monsooned on us. That is a verb. So we were booking it back toward the tent and I stopped for a half a second to get this lil shot…..
But all monsoons must come to an end and soon the party was back in full swing.
Alicia’s eyes are stunning. Like I even need to say it.
And to finish this blog of their love story, I couldn’t leave you without sharing a very vital part of the day. The cake eating. Or smashing. Or food fight. You know, whatever you want to call it.
Bahaha! Stephen’s face! Oh no you di’n't!!
I hope that as you guys run the race of life you go through the storms with the same grace and have as much fun playing together as you did on your wedding day. All of God’s richest blessings to you!
