Ashley and Matt were married at one of my fave venues in Central Virginia, beautiful West Manor. We had chilly weather all week so we had fingers crossed. It turned out to be a beautiful day so we wandered about outside for some portraits right as the sun was going down. Ashley was so excited to be a bride and very in love. Also, doesn’t she have the best dimples?

I was SOOO excited when Ashley contacted me about today. There is nothing more exciting or fun than being present when the big question gets asked! Nikky thought she was surpising Ashley with some engagement pictures….but really, Ashley was helping to surprise Nikky with her boyfriend and a very important piece of jewelry. Congratulations friends!!! A long and happy life together to you and Ryan, Nikky. And thank you Ashley and Mike for letting me be a part of today. The perfect kick off to Christmas.
Dan is creative, fun and his feelings ran close to the surface all day. Tears came when Michelle walked down the aisle. When they danced their first dance. And every tear was filled with joy. As a couple Michelle and Dan have that special thing people recognize. That thing that makes you say, aha! these two belong together. Michelle and Dan have been nothing less than constant joy to photograph this year. They are creative, fun and pretty easy on the eyes. So I knew their wedding was going to be nothing less than wonderful. Prepare yourselves for a feast of details. Michelle collected vintage glass and the wooden candle holders are handmade, holla DIYers!
